Performance Interactive Alliance acquires SoQuero

blueSummit Media (blueSummit), an operating subsidiary of Performance Interactive Alliance (PIA), one of the leading groups for digital strategy, online marketing, automation and services, has taken over online marketing agency SoQuero from Intershop Communications AG. The acquisition was completed on 30 September 2014.  

SoQuero serves 60 customers around the world in the field of search and social media marketing. The Frankfurt-based agency is also a pioneer in the area of product data marketing. With its technology brand Feed Dynamix, the company has developed its own comprehensive software solution for online shops.

“PIA’s service range, which encompasses the planning, implementation, analysis and optimisation of digital marketing measures, is complemented perfectly by SoQuero. Now, we can offer our customers additional tailor-made and channel-specific online sales solutions,” said Sebastian Sommerer, member of the PIA management team and founder and director of blueSummit.

“We look forward to bringing our expertise into the PIA Group, together with blueSummit. Our customers will benefit from a more diverse service range and broader know-how in the future,” said Björn Emeritzy, SoQuero director. Björn Emeritzy, together with his colleague Tobias Jungcurt, will remain in the company and manage operations from Frankfurt.

Equistone Partners Europe, one of Europe’s leading mid-market private equity managers, owns a majority stake in PIA.

The involved parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
